Marsha, Michelle and Beryl

MARSHA McDANIEL, C.X.T., C.T.A., M.D.X.L. Marsha, a Chiropractic X-Ray Technologist and Chiropractic Therapy Assistant, has also received her Tennessee State License as a Limited Medical X-Ray Technologist. She graduated from Cumberland School of Medical Technology (Currently Fortis Institute) as a Medical Secretary, and received her computer training from The Vocational Technical Education Program.In 1997 Marsha was honored as the Chiropractic Assistant of the Year for the State of Tennessee. For over twenty-three years Marsha has been a dependable and faithful administrator of Atnip Chiropractic Offices. Now as Office Administrator for Atnip Clinical Offices and the Multiple Disciplinary Services of Tennessee Spine, Joint, and Pain Consultants, her responsibilities continue to increase. She oversees accountants receivable, accounts payable, payroll, bookkeeping, insurance filing, oversees administrative staff, and serves as back-up staff as needed. Marsha was honored with the 2011 Best Bookkeeper in the Upper Cumberlands by the Herald Citizen's Reader's Choice Awards. Marsha's life could easily be stressed without the joys of camping, volleyball, bowling and her two Jack Russell Terriers, Zappy & Jack.
Beryl Turner, B.S., C.N.C., C.T.A.
Beryl, an experienced Nutritionist and Chiropractic Therapy Assistant (CTA), holds a B.S. degree from Clayton College of Natural Health, Certification in Nutrition (CNC) from the Global Institute for Alternative Medicine, and is a member of the National Association of Nutritional Professionals. While serving as Administrative Assistant at Tennessee Spine, Joint, and Pain Consultants, she also counsels individuals on nutrition therapy to include special needs children and their families on how to become a part of their child's healing process. In addition to the general public, she counsels the elderly and pregnant or nursing women on Functional Nutrition and optimal health. Beryl lectures on nutrition and optimal health to community and church groups and assists other health care providers with developing and coordinating nutrition-based healthcare plans. Beryl was honored with the 2011 Herald Citizen's Reader's Choice Award for the Best Secretary in the Upper Cumberlands. Michelle Miller, M.O.A. Michelle serves as our Patient and Insurance Coordinator. She is a 2011 graduate of The MedVance Institute (currently Fortis Institute)receiving a degree in Medical Office Administration. Before joining our staff, Michelle worked for Colinex, Wal-Mart and the Dana Corporation. She was also employed by MedVance Institute as an assistant in the Career Services Department. Michelle enjoys spending time with her children. Their sports and activities are a huge priority for her. She and her family enjoy playing softball, hiking, camping and volleyball.

Joan, Cryste and Patti

PATTI JEAN ATNIP, C.X.T (Ret.), C.T.A (Ret.)
Patti is a Tennessee licensed Chiropractic X-ray Technician (ret.) and Therapy Assistant (ret.) who is currently serving as our Special Events Coordinator.
Patti has worked in healthcare for over 20 years and also serves as our Director of Marketing and Public Relations. She is a past member of the Cookeville Junior Women’s Club and has served as a past president of the Auxiliary to the Tennessee Chiropractic Association, the Cookeville Rotary Inner Wheel Club, and the Cookeville Jaycettes, where she was a Regional Speak Up Award winner and was the recipient of the Alice Littleton Award.
Patti is a graduate of the Tennessee Real Estate Education Systems (TREES) and the Cookeville Citizens’ Police Academy. She loves tennis, reading, dancing, cats, dogs, surfing the internet, horseback riding, and her three grandchildren.
Cryste Bennett, B.S. is our New-Patient Coordinator. She is a patient's first contact with our facility. Cryste adeptly screens calls, answers questions, schedules appointments, prepares in-take files, and handles a myriad of paperwork on the patient's behalf. In addition to that, she handles all of the referrals that come to our clinic from doctors' offices, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities. Cryste also serves as a diplomat and an ambassador for Tennessee Spine, Joint, and Pain Consultants. With clinic and physician information in hand, she travels through the 14-county Upper Cumberland Region visiting doctor's offices, meeting their staffs, and informing them of the services we offer in our facility. Cryste is a graduate of Tennessee Technological University with a degree in Wildlife and Fisheries. Before coming to us, she worked for the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency as both a dispatcher and as an Information Education Specialist. She's had additional post-graduate training towards certification in teaching and loves to educate young people about the great outdoors and all of its inhabitants! Cryste and her husband Will are both native Cookevillians and are blessed with a beautiful daughter. Being a wildlife major, she and her family love the rustic nature of the outdoors. Joan Schabert, B.S. With over twenty-five years of experience in the medical field serving the patients of Upper Cumberland Urology Associates, Joan uniquely serves in a multi-position role within our office. She tag-teams with Cryste as a New-Patient Coordinator, pitch hits on the front desk as receptionist, and steps up to the plate assisting the clinical staff with patient care. She graduated Tennessee Technological University in 2004 Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology. When she is not working she is happiest spending time with her family and friends, preferably outdoors, and traveling as often as possible. Joan and her husband Rob have two grown children and one grandson. |
